Karen
Bandy
Karen began her editing career at the University of Wisconsin, where
she produced abstracts and digests of doctoral dissertations in
economics and sociology.Since
that time she has worked with many academic, government, and private
sector organizations, and
she has edited a variety of work in science, social science, business,
and the humanities. Brainbench,

Karen
has a B.A. in Portuguese language and literature from the University
of Wisconsin and an M.S. in telecommunication policy from the George
Washington University. She has done additional graduate work in
mass communication at the University of North Carolina and in information
management at the American University.
As
a technology analyst at the congressional Office of Technology Assessment,
Karen learned to make complex topics clear to readers. She has researched,
written, and edited book-length reports on a variety of technology
topics including medical informatics, telecommunication, air traffic
control, airport system development, human-computer interaction,
office automation, information privacy and security, intellectual
